54-year old Suzana lives in a three-bedroom house with her daughter. Her son has recently left home, so the house is classified as under-occupied. Her daughter, who has cerebral palsy, will live with her mother for the foreseeable future. Their house has a through-floor wheelchair lift, a ramp and an accessible bathroom. If they stay, Suzana will need to pay an extra £11.59 a week, which she thinks will have to come out of her food budget.
